Friday, March 25, 2022, 12:05 PM Location: Cathedral of St John the Evangelist   Bishop Douglas Dehotel will join Pope Francis and other Catholic Bishops from around the world to celebrate a special Mass on Friday, March 25 to consecrate Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  The Mass will be celebrated at 12:05 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. The Mass will be live streamed on the Diocese of Lafayette YouTube channel and Facebook page for those who are unable to attend in person.  All are invited. Pope Francis invites the People of God to join him in prayer next Friday. “I invite every community and every one of the faithful to join with me next Friday, March 25, the solemnity of the Annunciation, in making this solemn act of consecration of humanity, and especially of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so that she, the Queen of Peace, may obtain peace for the world.”
